GAS CONDITIONING and PROCESSING

- Fundamentals Course

This course highlights the changes in the gas composition throughout a gas plant with the intention of increasing the attendants’ skills by giving them the necessary tools to relate the equipment present on their gas plants with the physical and chemical processes that occur in the equipment.

COURSE DURATION: 4 days

LEVEL:  Foundation

DESIGNED FOR YOU, IF YOU ARE...

  • Engineers (all areas) and other technical staff with under 3 years of experience that are looking to understand
the reasons as well as the composition changes that the feed is subject to in a gas plant to achieve the desired
    composition for export/sales.

HOW WE BUILD YOUR CONFIDENCE

  • PowerPoint presentations

  • Tutor – attendants interaction and discussion

  • Q&A

THE BENEFITS FROM ATTENDING

  • By attending this course the engineers (all areas) and other technical staff will understand the steps required to achieve an on spec gas (sales gas, Natural Gas Liquids, condensate/paraffinic naphtha), H2S handling as well as the Air Chemicals liquefaction process (LNG).

BY THE END OF THE COURSE YOU WILL FEEL CONFIDENT IN YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF:

  • Attendants will clearly understand the reasons and processes used to condition and process gas in plants. They will also know how the equipment present in a gas plant contributes to achieve the desired export gas composition.

INSTRUCTOR:

Worked as a surface facilities for 10 years in an international oil and gas company in the Engineering and Gas department responsible for the monitoring performance, projects analysis, performance improvement and representation of the company in the international shareholders technical meetings of oil and gas assets in the Middle East (Abu Dhabi, Oman) and Kazakhstan.

Was the coordinator of the company’s training program for young Middle Eastern engineers for 8 years as well as the training tutor for gas processing and conditioning section of the program for 7 years.

Also worked in an oil and gas engineering doing piping flexibility analysis as well as linear and non-linear finite element analysis of equipment.
